However, people who do have experience in fitness training can use this program to prepare themselves for the ACSM certification. In this multimedia-rich program, you’ll learn the fundamentals of the following topics. • Exercise physiology • Anatomy • Biomechanics • Nutrition • Motor learning That is not the full extent of this interactive program. You will also learn how to: • assess a client’s strength, risk, and flexibility • establish goals for them • develop training programs for cardiorespiratory, resistance, and flexibility With this program, you can become a professional personal fitness trainer, and, thus, put your knowledge on physiology, fitness, kinesiology, cardiology, epidemiology, and pulmonary medicine to good use. If you want to be successful in this field, you cannot rely on the skills and knowledge required of trainers only. That is why this program includes detailed instructions on how you can start a personal fitness business of your own. Also, this program incorporates the Co-Active Coaching Model, which will help develop communication and relationship-building skills. You’ll also receive an exam voucher and preparation book for the Certified Personal Trainer certification by ACSM. You can also request an alternative certification track through NASM or ACE. CERTIFICATION: ACSM Certified Personal Trainers® are fitness professionals who develop and implement personalized exercise programs for individuals across a diverse set of health and fitness backgrounds, from professional athletes to individuals only recently cleared to exercise.
